Ciao Amici’s in Brighton

While wandering the somewhat unfamiliar streets of downtown Brighton on a beautiful spring Friday evening, my wife and I stumbled upon Ciao Amici’s restaurant on Main Street (www.ciaoamicisbrighton.com).  Itallian food sounded good, the atmosphere was quite nice, and there was only a brief wait for a table, so we were sold.

We entered the bar to wait for our name to get called, and were pleasantly surprised to be greeted by a great variety of tap handles from the state of Michigan.  Our options included the Cabin Fever from New Holland (http://newhollandbrew.com/beer/seasonals/cabin-fever-brown-ale/), the ever-popular Oberon from Bell’s, and the Frankenmuth Pilsener (www.frankenmuthbrewery.com/beer) among others.  There were also a number of nice craft beer bottle selections from across America (the sight of a well-dressed lady in her 60’s drinking a Stone pale ale made me smile).

Both the service and the food were excellent, and prices were very reasonable considering the portion size and restaurant location.  The menu is quite diverse, and we were especially blown-away by how delicious the complimentary bread basket was.  I’d definitely recommend Ciao Amici, and we’ll definitely be back again in the near future.
